SPECTRUM CHASE

Game Objective

  • Get as many points as you can by the time the deck runs out

  • Points come from how many matches you make and the number on those cards

How to Start:

  • 2+ players

  • Everyone starts out with 7 cards

    • There’s a pile of cards face down in the middle

  • The person who rolls the highest number on the dice starts

  • When it’s your turn, you put down as many combinations as you can in a 20 second time limit

  • Roll the dice after your turn to determine how many cards you draw

  • When it is not your turn keep your cards face down

    • You cannot look at the cards you drew until it is your next turn

Combinations:

  • Three of the same color

  • The three primary colors

  • The three secondary colors

  • The full rainbow

As part of my Design Processes class, I was told to create an original game. A lot of different games went through my head but the one thing I wanted to make sure I added to my game was vibrant colors. What is more vibrant than a rainbow? After a few trial and errors with a couple games, my partner and I created a game that was competitive, quick, and easy to learn. We named it Color Spectrum.
