SPECTRUM CHASE
Game Objective
-
Get as many points as you can by the time the deck runs out
-
Points come from how many matches you make and the number on those cards
How to Start:
-
2+ players
-
Everyone starts out with 7 cards
-
There’s a pile of cards face down in the middle
-
-
The person who rolls the highest number on the dice starts
-
When it’s your turn, you put down as many combinations as you can in a 20 second time limit
-
Roll the dice after your turn to determine how many cards you draw
-
When it is not your turn keep your cards face down
-
You cannot look at the cards you drew until it is your next turn
-
Combinations:
-
Three of the same color
-
The three primary colors
-
The three secondary colors
-
The full rainbow
As part of my Design Processes class, I was told to create an original game. A lot of different games went through my head but the one thing I wanted to make sure I added to my game was vibrant colors. What is more vibrant than a rainbow? After a few trial and errors with a couple games, my partner and I created a game that was competitive, quick, and easy to learn. We named it Color Spectrum.
